TORQ Hydration includes the full quota of 5 electrolytes in research-recommended volumes, plus 15g (60kcal) per serving of 2:1 maltodextrin(glucose): fructose carbohydrate.

Compared to water alone, which is isotonic, the carbohydrate in TORQ Hydration creates a hypotonic solution.

This activates the facilitated transport mechanism in the gut, alongside the passive transport mechanism.
